Serenity In Green is painted in oil paint onto standard edge box canvas with staple free edges.
All of the colour is quite muted and soft, making this painting very relaxing to view.
The grasses in the foreground give the painting a lot of prospective, and I played around for ages before I was happy with them! First of all I just painted some dark grasses in, unhappy with that I added some of the lighter ones.Something was still bugging me about it so I added the tufty tops to some of the long grasses and I am now completely happy with the overall effect. The photos do not do this painting justice-It is much lighter in colour than appears on the screen.Very subtle shades of sap green, are the main colours, and I mean subtle.
All of the sides are painted and it does not require framing.
