- This is my latest commission. Painted in oil on an acrylic base, this was a painting with a difference for me , as I do normaly paint animals.
The owner of the dogs wanted them incorporated into a beach scene.
One of the dogs is a wolf-dog and he wanted it baying at the moon with the other 2 dogs in the picture too.One is a terrier and the other is a black labrador..
It was an interesting piece of work to do for me- as usual I emailed each stage of the painting to the 'commissioner'for aproval, before going on to the next stage--only when happy with whats been done do I carry on with the next bit of the painting.
It can be time consuming, depending on the medium used to paint with, but the worst part was having just 10-12 days waiting for it to be dry enough to post off because he wanted it for Christmas.
I have had an email from happy new owner today saying he loves it, and will be in touch next year with a new wacky idea for another painting!
